Week #12 - Lídia


We're in the final phase of our game!

Everything we did so far revolved more around the various mechanics we would integrate in the levels. This week, we took everything we did and integrated in the 9 levels of our game. We divided the levels among ourselves, and I designed levels 5 and 6 of the Bargaining phase.

For me, coming up with ideas for the level design was quite hard. Both my levels wouldn't have enemies, but they were supposed to be more challenging in terms of the puzzles presented in each room. Level 5 has boxes that change with the players gravity and need to be put on buttons to open closed doors. Level 6 was all about the portals, and the idea was to make the player feel a bit lost in a maze, with no clear way to finish the level.

It was quite challenging developing this levels, but in the end I'm happy with how they turned out. Only with playtesting will we see if the players enjoyed or were frustrated with the levels.

Now we must do so some final bug fixes and prepare everything to be presentable at MOJO!
