Week #8 - Daniel


Hey everyone!

Our week started with a meeting with the entire team, where we defined the key aspects of our game's progression. Namely, the overall narrative arch that will run through our game.  I'm excited to see the art and the script that will be developed!

We also started development for a short prototype to start player testing as soon as possible. This prototype is focused on Presentation and Control. I was assigned to develop power-ups, which also include the logic for the weapons in our game, the logic for rooms (camera work, room detection etc...) and the dialogue system, which can be extended into a tool tip window as well. Even though we still have some time before our deadline, here is a sneak peek of what has been developed for these features so far:

Over the course of next week we intend to gather feedback from our focus group and colleagues in order to write a report and expand upon our prototype, fixing any issues that are brought up or possible improvements.
